A number of mortgage brokers and lenders told one of the founders that there were no adequate tools to help them expand into commercial mortgage lending.  They knew there was a healthy market, but they needed help automating their processes to capitalize on that opportunity.

Several lenders voiced frustration with their existing mortgage origination systems. They asked us if we could help them find a solution that was powerful enough to address their needs but easy enough that their users would actually use it.

Community banks expressed concerns over the impending effect of OTC 2006-1. They and the rest of the market lacked the tools needed to manage the liquidity of syndications and participations that will be critical to ongoing compliance with that regulation.
